Today’s topic is “LinkedIn Profile Makeover”.

Your LinkedIn profile is one of the most powerful tools you have to accomplish your career goals, whether it is to land a new job, get a seat on a board, re-enter the workforce after an extended break, launch or grow your business, get funding for your startup, or acquire new clients or partners.

Yet many of us are not using LinkedIn to its fullest advantage.

At today’s coffee session, you will learn the tips and tricks for optimizing your LinkedIn profile for your unique career goals. You will see examples of best (and worst) practices. And best of all, you’ll work on updating the key parts of your LinkedIn profile in real-time.

By the end of the hour, you will:

  • Learn how LinkedIn can help you with your unique career goals
  • Know the tips and tricks for optimizing your LinkedIn profile, starting with the all-important Headshot, Headline and About sections
  • Learn how to optimize your LinkedIn profile for both algorithms and humans
  • Be able to spot common mistakes that people make in their LinkedIn profiles
  • Have a first draft of your new-and-improved LinkedIn profile

We recommend (but not require) that you read the book Linked, by Omar Garriott and Jeremy Schiefeling, two former LinkedIn product marketing managers and experts at optimizing your LinkedIn profile, before coming to the workshop.
